Purchased in July 2005, Woodstock Farm at Oxford is 2300ha intensive pastoral (freehold/leasehold) land. Dairy 5 was built in 2006 and the first block of land (520ha) was developed to dairying and Dairy Support.
In addition to the dairy herd and replacements, Woodstock grows out the weaned heifer calves from Rakaia Island, taking most of them through as replacements for the wider herd.
An additional 70-bail dairy, Dairy 6, was constructed 2013/14 and 400ha of dry land converted.
These units were also renamed:
Dairy 5 – Tussock
Dairy 6 – Beech
Drystock – Matipo
The property has a main homestead and 15 houses/shared accommodation and, similar to the island, it also has an office and recreation room for staff and a workshop for maintenance.
